Seesaw is seeking a Corporate Counsel to provide legal guidance on Trust & Safety compliance, privacy regulations, and education regulatory compliance. This role requires expertise in legal matters affecting the company and offers a chance to work closely with senior leadership.
You are an experienced legal professional with a strong background in corporate law, particularly in the education sector. You have a deep understanding of Trust & Safety compliance and are well-versed in both domestic and international privacy regulations, including GDPR. Your ability to navigate complex legal frameworks allows you to provide sound legal advice to senior leadership, ensuring that the company operates within legal boundaries while pursuing its mission. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent analytical skills, enabling you to assess legal risks and recommend appropriate actions. You thrive in collaborative environments and are comfortable working closely with cross-functional teams to address legal challenges. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to convey complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-legal stakeholders.
As Seesaw’s Corporate Counsel, you will be a key advisor to the senior leadership team, providing legal guidance on a variety of matters that impact the company. You will support the organization in Trust & Safety incident responses, ensuring that the company adheres to legal requirements while maintaining a safe environment for users. Your role will involve maintaining an in-depth understanding of current education regulations, such as COPPA and FERPA, and providing recommendations on necessary actions to comply with these laws. You will also be responsible for understanding and implementing domestic and international privacy regulations, ensuring that the company’s practices align with legal standards. Your expertise will be crucial in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including terms and conditions of employment, and you will play a vital role in shaping the company’s legal strategies as it continues to grow and innovate in the education sector.
