Staff Software Engineer, Data Platform

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building scalable data management systems. Your expertise in Java and Python allows you to develop robust features and algorithms that drive innovation in data processing. You are familiar with cloud environments, especially AWS, and have experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes. Your background includes working with big data technologies such as Apache Spark and Elasticsearch, enabling you to handle large datasets effectively.

You possess strong problem-solving skills and a passion for data-driven decision-making. You understand the importance of performance and scalability in modern applications and have a track record of optimizing systems for efficiency. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively in distributed teams, bridging communication between North America and Europe.

Desirable

Experience with PostgreSQL and REST APIs is a plus, as it complements your skill set in managing and querying large databases. Familiarity with Docker enhances your ability to deploy applications in a consistent environment. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can improve the team's output and product quality.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of foundational solutions for Celonis's Data Platform. You will drive innovation by developing features that enhance the user experience and improve data analysis capabilities. You will be responsible for architecting scalable systems that can handle complex data processing tasks.
