Block is seeking a Global Sanctions Program Manager to oversee the effectiveness of their sanctions screening systems. You'll collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to ensure regulatory alignment. This role requires expertise in sanctions management and compliance.
You have a strong background in compliance and risk management, particularly in the context of economic sanctions. Your experience includes overseeing sanctions programs and ensuring regulatory alignment across various jurisdictions. You are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Compliance, Legal, Engineering, Product, and Operations, to ensure that sanctions systems operate effectively and in accordance with regulatory expectations. You possess excellent analytical skills and are detail-oriented, allowing you to manage sanctions list reviews and change management processes efficiently. You understand the complexities of sanctions compliance and are committed to maintaining high standards of governance and oversight in your work.
In this role, you will own and execute annual and periodic sanctions list management reviews to ensure that the lists used by Block are current and compliant with regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for the governance and oversight of sanctions list management, ensuring that all changes to sanctions systems are documented and communicated effectively. You will partner closely with various teams to ensure that sanctions systems are functioning as intended and that all policies and procedures are maintained and updated as necessary. Your role will involve monitoring changes in sanctions regulations and adapting Block's practices accordingly to mitigate risks. You will also play a key role in training and educating staff on sanctions compliance and best practices, fostering a culture of compliance within the organization.
