Smartsheet is seeking an experienced Account Executive to drive sales within the State and Local Government sector. You'll navigate complex procurement processes and develop relationships with key decision-makers. This role requires a proven track record in quota attainment and account development.
You have a strong background in sales, particularly within the State and Local Government sector, with a proven history of exceeding quotas and developing customer accounts. You understand the intricacies of government procurement processes and are adept at responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs). Your ability to build relationships with key decision-makers in government agencies sets you apart, and you stay informed about government regulations and compliance requirements related to software procurement.
You are skilled at tailoring sales presentations and proposals to meet the specific needs and challenges faced by State and Local Government entities. Your experience encompasses executing a solution-based sales process that involves multiple stakeholders within accounts of varying sizes, specifically those with 2,000 to 10,000 employees. You thrive in environments where you can develop and prospect new business opportunities, leveraging your expertise to drive growth and success.
In this role, you will be responsible for navigating the complex landscape of government procurement, ensuring that you understand and can effectively respond to RFPs and RFQs. You will develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in State and Local Government agencies, positioning Smartsheet as a trusted partner in their software procurement processes. Your role will involve staying up-to-date on relevant government regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring that your sales strategies align with these standards.
You will tailor your sales presentations and proposals to address the unique challenges faced by government agencies, demonstrating how Smartsheet's solutions can empower them to automate processes and uncover insights. Exceeding software and services sales quotas will be a key focus, as you execute a solution-based sales process that engages multiple groups within your accounts.
