Carvana is seeking an Experienced Heavy Body Technician to perform extensive bodywork and train other technicians. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
You have a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience, demonstrating your expertise in various bodywork techniques. Your background includes heavy plastic welding, metal pulling, straightening, and extensive experience with Bondo repair. You are a team player who is willing to train and mentor other autobody technicians, ensuring that the team maintains high standards of quality and efficiency.
You understand the importance of delivering exceptional customer experiences and are committed to meeting deadlines, even if it requires mandatory overtime. Your ability to work collaboratively with others and adapt to the fast-paced environment of a high-tech Inspection Center is essential. You possess a valid driver’s license and can communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
While not required, any additional certifications such as ASE would be beneficial. Experience with state-of-the-art tools and technologies in automotive repair will set you apart as a candidate. A willingness to engage in continuous learning and improvement is highly valued at Carvana.
As an Experienced Heavy Body Technician at Carvana, you will be responsible for performing extensive bodywork on multiple panels of vehicles. This includes heavy plastic welding and stapling, as well as heavy metal pulling, straightening, and shrinking. You will also be involved in roof and rocker panel repairs, ensuring that all work meets the high standards expected by Carvana.
In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will play a crucial role in training and mentoring other autobody technicians. Your experience will help guide less experienced team members, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone can grow and improve their skills. You will be expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, utilizing state-of-the-art tools to deliver quality results.
You will work on a 2nd shift schedule, which may include mandatory overtime based on business needs. Your commitment to delivering great vehicles on time will be essential in meeting customer expectations. You will also participate in ongoing training programs offered by Carvana to enhance your skills and advance your career within the company.
