What you'll do

During your internship at Berkadia, you will assist with the analysis of multi-family and commercial mortgage transactions, gaining hands-on experience in the financial aspects of real estate. You will learn how to create initial deal sizing and cash flow analysis, as well as write deal narratives that are essential for understanding the financial viability of projects. Additionally, you will assist with the review of third-party reports and contribute to marketing initiatives that promote Berkadia’s services and projects. Establishing strong working relationships with your team will be crucial as you identify their needs for support and learn about the world of Commercial Finance. You will actively participate in the research, writing, and proofing of marketing materials, presentations, analyses, reports, and loan or property documents, ensuring that all communications are clear and professional. Utilizing and maintaining databases that track relevant real estate metrics will also be part of your responsibilities, allowing you to develop analytical skills that are vital in the industry. You will correspond directly with mortgage bankers, borrowers, and clients to answer questions or provide information as needed, enhancing your communication skills and understanding of client relations.
