You have a strong background in cloud infrastructure security, with a focus on monitoring and threat detection. Your experience includes designing and operating automated security controls, particularly within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You are familiar with implementing security best practices and have a solid understanding of compliance requirements in cloud environments.
You possess expertise in Linux and Windows systems, enabling you to define hardened images and golden baselines effectively. Your knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices allows you to enforce security policies and configurations consistently across cloud infrastructure components.
You are proactive in identifying, analyzing, and responding to security threats, demonstrating a keen ability to assess risks and implement appropriate security measures. Your experience with Kubernetes enhances your capability to secure containerized applications and orchestrate secure deployments.
You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture. Your communication skills enable you to articulate security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering a culture of security awareness within the organization.
Experience with automated patch management and vulnerability assessment tools is a plus. Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards such as OWASP is also beneficial. You may have experience with incident response and security incident management processes, which will further enhance your contributions to the team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of Turing's cloud environment. You will design, implement, and operate automated patch pipelines for Linux and Windows systems across Google Compute Engine (GCE) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) nodes. Your work will involve defining hardened images and enforcing security policies through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
You will actively monitor the cloud environment for security threats and vulnerabilities, responding promptly to incidents and implementing remediation strategies. Your expertise in GCP will be crucial as you work to secure cloud infrastructure components and maintain compliance with industry standards.
Collaboration with engineering teams will be a key aspect of your role, as you will work closely with them to integrate security practices into the development lifecycle. You will provide guidance on secure coding practices and assist in conducting security assessments of applications and services.
You will also contribute to the development of security documentation and training materials, helping to raise awareness of security best practices across the organization. Your insights will play a vital role in shaping Turing's security strategy and ensuring that security considerations are embedded in all aspects of cloud operations.
