You have a strong legal background with experience in technology-related legal issues, particularly in the automotive or autonomous driving sectors. Your expertise allows you to navigate complex regulatory environments and provide sound legal advice to cross-functional teams. You are skilled in collaborating with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure compliance and protect intellectual property. You understand the importance of public policy and can effectively communicate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders. You are proactive in identifying potential legal challenges and developing strategies to mitigate risks. You thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote collaboration with in-person engagement.
As a Product Counsel at Waymo, you will work closely with the Legal team to address the legal issues surrounding our autonomous driving technology. You will advise on regulatory changes that impact our business and help shape transportation policy for the future. Your role will involve collaborating with public policy, safety, security, and privacy experts to ensure that our technology aligns with legal requirements. You will also work with engineering and product teams to develop and protect our intellectual property portfolio, ensuring that our innovations are safeguarded. Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $238,000—$302,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
