Postman is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to lead the development of secure and scalable platform services within the Product Trust team. You'll work with Java and Spring to build critical components that safeguard user data. This role requires extensive backend engineering experience and leadership skills.
You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, building production systems that are secure and scalable. You thrive in environments where you can lead the development of critical platform components, ensuring that user data is protected and that systems are reliable. Your expertise in Java and Spring is complemented by a strong understanding of API design and security best practices. You enjoy solving complex problems and have a track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. You are a collaborative team player who works closely with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, product, and security, to deliver impactful solutions. You are passionate about building trust with users and understand the importance of compliance and auditing in software development.
Experience with Postman or similar API platforms is a plus. Familiarity with cloud services and security protocols will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team. You are open to mentoring junior engineers and sharing your knowledge to foster a culture of learning and growth within the team.
In this role, you will lead the development of next-generation systems within the Product Trust domain. You will be responsible for designing and implementing secure authentication and access control mechanisms, as well as developing services for secret scanning and auditing.
