Google is seeking a Senior Generative AI Engineer to train and deploy generative models for real-world applications. You'll work with large datasets and machine learning frameworks, requiring 5+ years of experience in the field.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience training and deploying generative models focused on real-world applications. Your expertise includes working with large datasets, data cleaning, pre-processing, and analysis. You may also hold a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, and have a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, having spent 5 years honing these skills. Your background may include contributing to open-source projects or publications in relevant conferences, showcasing your commitment to the field. You have experience conducting research work, whether through graduate studies or prior projects, and are familiar with Gemini models or machine learning frameworks. Your understanding of deep learning architectures and related algorithms, such as Transformers, is complemented by your experience deploying machine learning models on Alphabet infrastructure, particularly TPUs. You possess excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a passion for innovation and generative models.
Experience with large-scale system design and distributed computing is a plus, as is familiarity with information retrieval and networking. You are comfortable navigating complex technical discussions and have a keen interest in exploring new technologies that can enhance generative AI applications.
As a Senior Generative AI Engineer at Google, you will work on critical projects that leverage generative models to enhance user experiences. Your responsibilities will include analyzing model outputs and user feedback to continuously improve model performance. You will enable the use of internal software engineering data for training Gemini models, ensuring that the models are robust and effective. You will explore and apply Large Language Models (LLM) post-training techniques to improve model quality for code generation, code transformation, and agentic Computational Linguistics (CL) generation and bug-fixing workflows. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and implement best practices in model training and deployment. Your role will also involve mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the overall growth of the team.
