Lyft is hiring a Software Engineer for their Fulfillment Core Services team to enhance backend systems that power ride state transitions. You'll work with Python and Golang to integrate new features and improve performance. This role requires experience in backend distributed systems.
You have a solid background in backend engineering, particularly with distributed systems, and are excited about tackling complex technical challenges. Your experience with Python and Golang allows you to contribute effectively to the Core Services team at Lyft, where you'll be responsible for integrating new rider and driver products into the existing state machine. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including product, data science, and analytics to drive initiatives from concept to execution.
You possess a strong understanding of backend architecture and are eager to enhance the performance and reliability of mission-critical systems. Your ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies will be key as you work on innovative solutions in the ridesharing space. You are motivated by Lyft's mission and are passionate about contributing to a product that connects people and communities.
Experience with cloud services and microservices architecture would be a plus, as well as familiarity with agile methodologies. You are a quick learner and enjoy collaborating with others to solve challenging problems. A background in ridesharing or transportation technology is advantageous but not required.
As a Software Engineer at Lyft, you will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of the Core Services that power our ride-hailing platform. You will work on integrating new features and products into the existing backend systems, ensuring that they operate smoothly and efficiently. Lyft offers a competitive salary range for this position in the Seattle area, with base pay between $128,000 and $160,000, not including potential equity offerings, bonuses, or benefits.
