Overview

Microsoft is hiring a Critical Environment Technician to oversee and maintain critical environment-related facility equipment. You'll ensure safety and operational efficiency while responding to incidents and coordinating with other professionals. This role requires expertise in maintenance and safety protocols.

Job Description

Who you are

You have experience working in critical environments and understand the importance of safety and security requirements. You are skilled in inspecting and supervising facility equipment, ensuring that all operations meet the necessary regulations and standards. You are proactive in recognizing unsafe working conditions and know how to respond appropriately to maintain a safe work environment.

You are familiar with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and can efficiently track equipment assets and manage work order requests. Your ability to document issues and follow procedures ensures that maintenance work is completed effectively and safely. You are comfortable providing necessary escort to third-party contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and supervising critical environment-related facility equipment. You will utilize internal CMMS to track all equipment assets and complete work order requests for maintenance work. You will lead an onsite incident response team, quickly responding to and addressing any abnormal conditions that impact operations. Your role will involve performing various types of maintenance and documenting issues found during troubleshooting processes.

You will prepare and submit required reports and process method statements of work (MSOW) documents. Your understanding of safety and security requirements will guide your actions as you ensure that all work is performed in accordance with applicable regulations and Microsoft requirements. You will collaborate with other critical facilities professionals to perform corrective repairs without supervision, contributing to a culture of safety and reliability.
