Placemakr is seeking a General Manager to lead operational and budgetary excellence across their properties. You'll motivate and engage your team to deliver exceptional service and drive performance. This role requires flexible scheduling and strong leadership skills.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in leadership roles, ideally within the hospitality or property management sectors. Your experience includes managing teams and driving operational excellence, ensuring that both residents and guests have exceptional experiences. You are a strong communicator who can inspire and motivate your team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance. You understand the importance of collaboration and are comfortable working in a remote-first environment, while also being available for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.

You are passionate about service and understand that the success of a property relies on the people who manage it. You have a knack for problem-solving and can navigate challenges with a positive attitude. Your leadership style is inclusive, and you believe in empowering your team to take ownership of their roles. You are adaptable and can thrive in a fast-paced environment, always looking for ways to improve processes and enhance guest experiences.

Desirable

Experience in the hospitality industry or property management is a plus, as is familiarity with tech-enabled solutions that enhance guest experiences. You may have a background in operations management or a related field, which equips you with the skills to oversee multiple aspects of property management effectively.

What you'll do

As the General Manager at Placemakr, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of your property, ensuring that all aspects run smoothly and efficiently. You will lead a team of property staff, providing guidance and support to help them excel in their roles. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional service to guests while also managing the operational and financial performance of the property. You will implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and drive occupancy rates, working closely with other departments to achieve these goals.

You will be involved in budgeting and financial planning, ensuring that the property meets its financial targets. This includes analyzing performance metrics and making data-driven decisions to improve operations. You will also champion Placemakr’s Community Norms, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence among your team.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work with both property and non-property teams to ensure alignment and support for property execution. You will participate in biannual in-person gatherings with your team, fostering relationships and building a strong community within the organization. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the success of the property and enhancing the overall guest experience.
