Databricks is seeking a Lead Sales Development Manager to drive pipeline generation and coach a team of Business Development Representatives. You'll leverage your experience in SaaS sales and work closely with sales and marketing teams to optimize campaigns.

Who you are

You have over 2 years of experience as an Outbound Sales Development Manager in the SaaS industry — you've successfully led teams and driven pipeline generation strategies that have resulted in measurable growth. Your passion for coaching and developing talent shines through as you guide early-stage sales professionals to reach their full potential.

You are highly data-driven, constantly optimizing activities and outputs to ensure your team's success. Your expertise with Salesforce and Outreach allows you to implement effective sales processes and track performance metrics accurately. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working cross-functionally with sales and marketing leadership to ensure the success of campaigns.

You understand the importance of building strong relationships with various sales segments — your ability to foster positive working relationships maximizes the effectiveness of sales development efforts. You are enthusiastic about creating a workplace where people love coming to work, maintaining a high level of motivation and engagement within your team.

Desirable

Experience in a fast-paced tech environment is a plus, as is familiarity with data analytics tools that can help you drive insights and improvements in sales strategies. A background in managing outbound pipeline generation motions will set you apart, as will any additional experience in demand generation.

What you'll do

As the Lead Sales Development Manager at Databricks, you will manage, develop, and hire a team of Outbound Business Development Representatives (BDRs). Your role will involve coaching early-stage sales professionals, helping them refine their skills and achieve their targets. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Demand Generation, and Marketing leadership to ensure the success of various campaigns, providing constructive input to develop new initiatives.

You will be responsible for developing relationships with different sales segments, ensuring positive interactions that enhance the effectiveness of sales development. Your leadership will help create a culture of enthusiasm and engagement, making your team a place where individuals are excited to contribute and grow.

In this role, you will also focus on optimizing pipeline generation strategies, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement, and implementing best practices that drive results. Your ability to work from the Costa Rica office multiple days per week on a hybrid schedule will allow you to maintain strong connections with your team and foster a collaborative environment.
