Who you are

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or a related technical field, or possess equivalent practical experience. With at least 3 years of experience in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role, you have a solid foundation in statistical problem solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding languages such as Python, R, Java, or C++. You are adept at collaborating with executive leadership on decision-making processes and possess the ability to communicate complex analyses and recommendations to a wide range of non-technical audiences. Your experience includes designing experiments, developing statistical models, and identifying business opportunities in changing and ambiguous environments. You are familiar with Google tools like Plex and BigQuery, which enhances your ability to extract valuable insights from data.

What you'll do

As a Business Operations Analyst at Google, you will immerse yourself in data collection and analysis, drawing insights that inform strategic recommendations. You will work closely with small teams to tackle thorny business challenges, ensuring that your analyses lead to actionable outcomes. Your role will involve supporting intelligence customer and vendor transaction monitoring, discounting, approval flow, service agreements, and throughput. You will assist in tracking GTIG projects and objectives, measuring performance against key results. Your analytical skills will be crucial in extracting valuable insights from operational metrics, which will guide business unit leadership in making informed decisions. You will also play a key role in communicating your findings and recommendations to senior-level executives, helping to drive implementation and assess the impact of your recommendations on business growth.
