What you'll do

As a Staff Software Engineer at Ridgeline, you will architect scalable and highly available messaging and stream processing systems for both real-time and batch processing. You will lead the design and implementation of foundational platform architecture that supports the company's data streaming capabilities. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the systems you build are robust and meet the needs of the business.

You will mentor junior engineers, guiding them through complex technical challenges and fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team. Your hands-on approach will allow you to stay engaged with the code while also providing architectural leadership. You will be responsible for defining best practices and standards for data delivery, ensuring that the systems are not only efficient but also developer-friendly.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the future direction of Ridgeline's data infrastructure, working closely with product managers and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals. You will participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and help drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies that enhance the team's capabilities.
