Slice is hiring a Frontend Engineer to build world-class web products that empower small business owners. You'll work with React and TypeScript to solve technical challenges and guide important technical decisions. This position is open to intermediate and senior level applicants across the UK.
You have a strong background in frontend development, particularly with React and TypeScript, and are eager to contribute to building innovative web products. With experience in troubleshooting complex production issues, you understand the importance of delivering high-quality solutions that meet user needs. You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with technical leads and development managers to drive strategic initiatives while taking ownership of technical responsibilities. Your ability to work autonomously and as part of a team will be crucial in this role, as you will be expected to make significant hands-on contributions.
Experience with additional frontend frameworks or libraries is a plus, as is familiarity with agile development methodologies. You are comfortable navigating technical challenges and are always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes.
In this role, you will be instrumental in scaling the Frontend team at Slice, contributing to the development of web products that empower local pizzerias and other small businesses. You will take the lead on solving technical challenges, utilizing your expertise to guide important technical decisions across the team. Your hands-on contributions will include coding, debugging, and collaborating with other developers to ensure the successful delivery of projects. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior developers, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them grow in their careers.
You will work closely with product managers and designers to translate user requirements into functional and appealing web applications. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams will be essential in ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet the highest standards of quality.
