Samsara is seeking a Director of Sales Commissions to develop and lead a scalable Sales Compensation function. You'll focus on driving operations and process improvement to align compensation with company objectives. This role requires strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
You are a highly motivated and enthusiastic leader with a strong background in sales compensation. With a focus on developing scalable processes, you have a proven track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. You understand the importance of aligning compensation strategies with company objectives and have experience working closely with sales leadership to govern compensation policies. Your hands-on approach allows you to engage with teams effectively, ensuring that compensation plans are not only robust but also adaptable to the evolving needs of the organization.
Experience in a technology-driven environment is a plus, as is familiarity with compensation management software. You are comfortable analyzing data to inform decisions and can communicate complex compensation structures clearly to stakeholders. Your ability to foster collaboration across departments will be key to your success in this role.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Sales Compensation function. You will lead the development of compensation plans that motivate and reward sales teams while aligning with the overall business strategy. Your role will involve continuous process improvement, ensuring that compensation processes are efficient and effective. You will collaborate with sales leadership to analyze performance metrics and adjust compensation strategies as needed to drive sales success.
You will also play a critical role in the annual sales compensation planning process, working closely with finance and HR to ensure that compensation budgets are adhered to and that plans are communicated effectively to the sales team. Your leadership will help create a culture of transparency and trust around compensation, enabling sales professionals to focus on achieving their targets.
