Overview

Xometry is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers within the organization. You'll focus on building and maintaining solutions for the Post Order/Order Management team. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills.

You have extensive experience in software engineering, ideally with a focus on building scalable and reliable systems. Your background includes hands-on technical leadership, where you've successfully guided teams through complex projects and architectural decisions. You are passionate about mentoring and teaching others, helping them grow their skills and improve their coding practices. You understand the importance of operational excellence and strive to deliver software that exceeds customer expectations. You are adaptable, able to champion both traditional and cutting-edge technologies, and you know when to innovate and when to stick with proven methods. Your communication skills allow you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and timelines.

Desirable

Experience with cloud technologies and modern software development practices would be a plus, as would familiarity with agile methodologies. You may have worked in environments where you were responsible for code reviews and ensuring high-quality software delivery. A background in order management systems or similar domains could also be beneficial.
