Key job responsibilities
- Drive and participate in national and international accounting projects
- Worldwide business partnering within the Amazon group, liaising with Tax and Legal departments
- Integration of new regions into the existing processes
- Responsibility for month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing of financial books.
- Assessment and evaluation of GAAP to GAAP differences
- Drive improvements in accounting processes, internal workflows and the implementation of best practices

Amazon Affinity Groups- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge in US-GAAP or IFRS and any other local GAAP
- Several years of experience with an emphasis on accounting and financial reporting
- Operational Accounting experience
- Excellent communication skills with fluent English
- Proficient Microsoft Excel User- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
- Entrepreneurial, hands on, can-do attitude and ability to think outside the box
