Uber is hiring a Scientist II for their UberEats Courier Pricing team to design and develop pricing models and algorithms. You'll leverage machine learning and data analysis to optimize courier earnings. This role requires experience in data-driven decision-making and model validation.
You have a strong background in data science with experience in designing and developing models and algorithms that drive pricing decisions. You are skilled in machine learning and optimization techniques, and you understand how to apply these in a real-world context to solve complex business challenges. Your analytical mindset allows you to conduct deep-dive data analysis to uncover insights and inform strategic decisions. You are comfortable leading large-scale experiments to validate models and ensure they meet business objectives. Collaboration is key for you, and you thrive in cross-functional teams where you can partner closely with product managers and other stakeholders.
Experience with causal inference techniques and a solid understanding of pricing strategies in a marketplace environment would be a plus. Familiarity with the Uber Eats ecosystem or similar platforms can help you hit the ground running.
In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy models and algorithms that power both structural and real-time pricing decisions at a global scale.
