What you'll do

In this role, you will lead Discord's internal audit function, focusing on enhancing the SOX compliance framework and driving enterprise-wide risk management initiatives. You will develop and implement risk-based audit methodologies to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include leading SOX testing programs and coordinating with external auditors to ensure successful compliance assessments.

You will conduct audits of critical IT systems and applications, leveraging your IT audit expertise to assess technology controls and cybersecurity practices. Your role will involve collaborating with various departments to ensure that internal controls are designed effectively and operate as intended. You will also be responsible for providing guidance and support to your team, fostering their professional development and ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer and play a crucial role in shaping the internal audit strategy. You will be expected to communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior management and the board, ensuring that they are informed of any significant risks and compliance issues.
