The Customer Reviews team shapes products and technology used daily by millions of people around the world. The team is responsible for many central Amazon experiences including Customer Reviews and Questions and Answers.

Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Manager, your responsibilities range from contributing and reviewing the product roadmap, defining the team's charter, and driving the software development process, to setting individual goals for the developers, working on their career development, managing their performance, and keeping them engaged with the exciting development tasks. Together with the engineers you will be responsible for delivering production-ready code that will be used by hundreds of millions of Amazon customers. Together with the UX designers and the product team, you will own end-to-end the customer experience of Customer Reviews. As a Software Development Manager on the Customer Reviews team, you will have a huge impact on the way customers, including friends and family, experience Amazon daily.- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience in leading the definition and development of multi tier web services
- Experience managing engineers
- Experience partnering with product and program management teams
- Experience in engineering- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
