Instacart is seeking a Senior Product Designer II for their Commerce Platform to enhance user experiences in grocery delivery. You'll work with Figma and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive design initiatives. This role requires significant experience in product design.

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create user-centered designs that solve complex problems. You are proficient in Figma and have a solid understanding of design principles, usability, and accessibility. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to bring ideas to life. You are passionate about creating delightful user experiences and have a keen eye for detail. You understand the grocery industry and the unique challenges it presents, and you are excited about the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in this space. You are adaptable and open to feedback, always looking for ways to improve your designs and processes.

Desirable

Experience with user research methodologies and A/B testing is a plus. Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams will help you excel in this role. A background in e-commerce or fintech design will be beneficial as you navigate the complexities of the commerce platform.

What you'll do

As a Senior Product Designer II at Instacart, you will lead design projects from concept to execution, ensuring that user needs are at the forefront of your work. You will collaborate with product managers to define project goals and success metrics, and you will conduct user research to gather insights that inform your design decisions. You will create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate your ideas to stakeholders. You will also participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to your peers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the design team. Your role will involve staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, ensuring that Instacart remains competitive in the market. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior designers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers.
