Deliveroo is seeking a Junior Business Development Manager to develop new relationships with restaurants in Rome. You'll focus on mapping, prospecting, pitching, and closing new partnerships. This role requires sales experience and confidence in dealing with partners.
You are a motivated individual with a background in sales, eager to take on the challenge of developing new business relationships. You have experience in targeting new business and are comfortable communicating with partners and customers through various channels, including face-to-face interactions, phone calls, and emails. Your ability to demonstrate product and industry knowledge will be crucial in helping restaurant owners and managers understand the value of Deliveroo's technology. You possess negotiation skills and are tenacious in overcoming barriers to partnership. Knowledge of the restaurant industry is a significant plus, as it will help you connect with potential partners more effectively.
In this role, you will be responsible for mapping, prospecting, pitching, and closing new restaurant partnerships across your region. You will become an area-level expert, understanding the up-and-coming restaurants and which ones customers crave the most. Your day-to-day activities will involve supporting partners in joining Deliveroo and ensuring they have the best experience possible. You will communicate with restaurant owners and managers through physical visits, emails, calls, and social media to showcase Deliveroo's technology and assist them in overcoming any hesitations they may have. Attending restaurant and food meet-ups will also be part of your responsibilities, allowing you to network and build relationships within the industry.
