Affirm is seeking an Entry-Level Software Engineer to join their hybrid early career program in Chicago. You'll collaborate with experienced team members to contribute to projects and drive real-world impact in the finance sector. A background in computer science or a related field is preferred.
You are a recent graduate with a degree in computer science or a related field, eager to start your career in software engineering. You possess a foundational understanding of software development principles and are ready to learn and grow in a collaborative environment. You are proactive and enjoy working with others, bringing visibility and dialogue to your projects. You are adaptable and open to feedback, understanding that growth comes from both successes and challenges.
In this role, you will work closely with your team to tackle tasks that contribute to the overall goals of your projects. You will engage in collaborative discussions with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency regarding the risks and trade-offs of your work. You will focus on delivering quality solutions while maintaining a balance between speed and thoroughness. Your contributions will help foster a sense of community within your team, as you participate in growth and development activities designed to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Affirm provides a supportive environment where you can thrive as you begin your career. You will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid model, spending three days a week in the Chicago office and the rest of the time working remotely. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
