Expert Data Platform Engineer

Who you are

You have extensive experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on building and maintaining data pipelines and tracking systems. Your technical leadership skills enable you to guide teams in developing scalable, near-real-time data assets that support AI initiatives. You are proficient in AWS and have hands-on experience with Apache technologies, Airflow, and Python, allowing you to design robust data architectures that meet the needs of various stakeholders.

You understand the importance of data governance and are committed to implementing best practices that ensure data quality and accessibility. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Data Science, Analytics, and AI Engineering, to deliver impactful solutions. You thrive in a remote work environment and are comfortable managing your time and responsibilities independently.

Desirable

Experience with additional data technologies such as Kafka or Spark would be a plus, as would familiarity with machine learning concepts. You are always eager to learn and adapt to new tools and methodologies that can enhance the data engineering process.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take ownership of the data platform architecture, ensuring it is scalable and efficient. You will lead the design and implementation of data pipelines that integrate various data sources, enabling real-time analytics and AI capabilities. Your work will involve collaborating with Data Science and AI Engineering teams to understand their data needs and translating those into technical requirements.

You will also be responsible for establishing data governance frameworks that promote data integrity and compliance across the organization. This includes defining data standards, monitoring data quality, and implementing processes for data management. You will mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Your contributions will directly impact Typeform's ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making and enhance the user experience of their products. You will participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities for innovation in the data space.
