Job Description

Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

Responsibilities include establishing and curating strong relationships with Thai producers and production companies, reviewing budgets and schedules, and supporting or suggesting best production practices tailored to the Thai market. The position will work closely with our Creative, Post Production, Legal, Finance, and other internal teams, along with external producers, to ensure high-quality and efficient delivery of Thai productions that meet Netflix standards.

The Role

A successful candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, flexible, able to pivot when necessary, thorough, and capable of handling multiple and diverse responsibilities with strong organization skills and unwavering attention to detail.

This is a demanding and fast-moving position that requires someone who is a proactive and positive thinker, exercises sound judgment and initiative, and has in-depth knowledge of Thailand’s film and high-end television production landscape.

Crucially, this person must bring deep local industry connections and an existing network with Thai production companies, studios, line producers, key department heads, and government agencies relevant to film and series production.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Pre-Production / Setup of Show

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Legal, Creative, Post, VFX, Music) and Thai production partners to establish production schedules, workflows, and local vendor strategy.

  • Ensure budget efficiency by maximizing screen value while maintaining Netflix’s operational standards.

  • Advise on local production logistics, including permits, government relations, and local crew/labor practices.

Budgeting

  • Work with Thai showrunners and line producers to prepare, review, and vet production budgets and schedules.

  • Provide analysis on budget viability, risk areas, and production efficiencies specific to Thailand.

  • Review scripts to determine production implications and cost impacts.

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to lock and track budgets throughout production.

  • Review cost reports and trackers bi-weekly, ensuring stakeholders are informed.

  • Oversee that Thai productions stay on schedule, within budget, and compliant with local laws.

Scheduling

  • Develop or help inform production and post-production schedules with an understanding of Thailand’s seasonal/weather realities and location availability.

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to finalize schedules and communicate all updates or changes clearly.

Staffing / Vendors

  • Lead or assist in the search and hiring of Thai production staff (producers, line producers, production managers, etc.).

  • Identify and recommend trusted Thai vendors for camera, lighting, grip, costume, post, and other specialized services.

  • Maintain and curate Netflix’s preferred local vendor and production company list, ensuring best-in-class quality, ethical practices, and reliability.

Content Management

  • Set up and attend key creative approval sessions, including technical reviews.

  • Coordinate legal clearance reviews with Legal and Content teams.

  • Ensure all Thai productions adhere to Netflix creative and operational standards while reflecting local storytelling authenticity.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the Thai film and/or high-end scripted TV industry, preferably with premium productions.

  • Demonstrated existing relationships with Thai production companies, line producers, studios, and vendors.

  • Proven ability to supervise multiple projects simultaneously across all stages of production (development through delivery).

  • Strong knowledge of Thai production workflows, including budgeting, scheduling, labor, permits, and government regulations.

  • Familiar with current production technologies, 4K and HDR workflows, and post-production processes in Thailand.

  • Extensive local vendor and talent network across Thailand.

  • Ability to manage fast-paced, high-volume production environments while maintaining quality and professionalism.

  • Team player with strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and respond quickly to urgent production matters.

  • Fluency in Thai is required. Professional working proficiency in English is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working cross-functionally and cross-culturally.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Gmail.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and regionally when required.

  • A continuous learner who stays up to date on industry trends, gear, and evolving local production practices.

Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.

We are an equal-opportunity employer and celebrate diversity, recognizing that diversity builds stronger teams. We approach diversity and inclusion seriously and thoughtfully.
