You have a strong background in mechanical systems, particularly HVAC, with hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing complex systems. You excel at collaborating with engineers and other technicians to ensure that facilities operate smoothly and efficiently. Your problem-solving skills allow you to tackle diverse challenges in a fast-paced environment, and you are comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency in your work. You understand the importance of preventative maintenance and are skilled at developing detailed work instructions to ensure systems remain in peak operating condition. You are adaptable and thrive in a dynamic setting where innovation is encouraged.

What you'll do

As a Mechanical Technician at SpaceX, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC support equipment, including air handlers, chilled water systems, condenser pumps, and cooling towers. You will collaborate closely with engineers and managers to develop and update work instructions for preventative maintenance, ensuring zero unplanned interruptions in services. Your role will involve performing ductwork modifications and brazing, as well as troubleshooting and resolving issues with HVAC systems. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and activation of advanced manufacturing facilities, playing a key role in supporting SpaceX's mission to enable human life on Mars. You will also participate in project planning and execution, ensuring that all work is completed on time and to the highest standards.
