Who you are

You are a curious and collaborative student currently studying at a college or university, eager to dive into the world of product design. You possess a creative mindset and are excited about tackling complex and challenging problems in a team environment. Your passion for design is matched by your desire to learn from experienced mentors and contribute to meaningful projects. You thrive in collaborative settings and are keen to engage with diverse teams, including Engineering, User Research, and Product Management.

Desirable

Experience with design tools such as Figma is a plus, as it will help you in your role. A background in user experience or design principles will also be beneficial as you navigate the internship. You are open to feedback and eager to grow your skills in a supportive environment.

What you'll do

During your 12-week summer internship at Asana, you will work closely with dedicated Design mentors who are committed to your success. You will have the opportunity to engage in various design projects that aim to enhance user experiences and streamline workflows. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the design process from ideation to execution, ensuring that the solutions you help create are user-centered and impactful. You will participate in design critiques and receive constructive feedback to refine your skills and approach.

You will also have the chance to learn about the intersection of design and technology, gaining insights into how design decisions influence product development. Your role will involve researching user needs, creating wireframes, and developing prototypes that effectively communicate your design ideas. You will be encouraged to think critically about design challenges and propose innovative solutions that align with Asana's mission to help teams work together effortlessly.
