Position Overview: Tempus AI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Government Affairs Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our government relations efforts, advocating for policies that promote the growth and ethical use of AI technologies, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments related to AI and technology.
Assist in the development and execution of government affairs strategies to influence policy decisions.
Build and maintain relationships with key government officials, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.
Prepare briefing materials, policy papers, and presentations for internal and external use.
Coordinate and attend meetings, hearings, and events with government representatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align government affairs initiatives with business objectives.
Support the preparation of reports and updates on government affairs activities for senior management.
Conduct research on emerging issues and trends in AI policy and regulation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or a related field.
Experience in lobbying and advocacy efforts.
Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to analyze complex policy issues and develop strategic recommendations.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials and stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for AI and technology, and a commitment to ethical practices in the industry.
