CircleCI is seeking a Director of Data Science & Analytics to lead their insights engine and drive data-driven decision-making. You'll work with analytics and data science methodologies, focusing on product development and customer acquisition strategies. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills in data science.
You have extensive experience in data science and analytics, ideally with a strong background in leading teams and driving strategic initiatives. You understand the full spectrum of analytics—from ad hoc analyses to deploying machine learning models in production. Your leadership style fosters a culture of intellectual rigor and curiosity, encouraging your team to explore innovative methodologies and tools. You are a strategic partner to product and go-to-market leadership, translating complex business questions into actionable insights that drive decision-making. Experience with modern analytics tools and methodologies is a plus, as is a passion for mentoring and developing talent within your team. In this role, you will define the vision and roadmap for how CircleCI leverages data to inform product development, customer acquisition, and retention strategies. You will lead a team focused on delivering high-quality analytics and insights, with approximately 80% of the work dedicated to ad hoc analysis and deep investigations. Your responsibilities will include driving the experimentation framework, ensuring that analytics not only reports on outcomes but actively informs strategic decisions. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to ensure that data-driven insights are integrated into all aspects of the business. You will also be responsible for building a culture of analytics excellence within the organization, promoting best practices and innovative approaches to data science.
