Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in building relationships with small to medium-sized businesses. Your experience includes developing strategies to penetrate new markets and drive growth in underdeveloped areas. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are energized by the challenge of opening new markets. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and build meaningful partnerships. You are comfortable with extensive travel and can manage a high-velocity sales cycle. Your ability to work cross-functionally with various teams is a key strength, as you understand the importance of collaboration in achieving business objectives.

What you'll do

As a Growth Merchant Lead, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new market opportunities in Tier 4-5 geographies. You will spend the majority of your time in the field, meeting with local merchants to establish partnerships that will enhance DoorDash's service offerings. Your role will involve conducting market research to understand local needs and tailoring your approach to meet those needs effectively. You will own the sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals, ensuring that you build strong relationships with each merchant. You will collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Manager and other teams to align strategies and share insights that drive growth. Your efforts will directly contribute to DoorDash's mission of expanding its footprint in emerging markets, making a significant impact on local economies.
