Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager for Strategic Partnerships in Sports and Live. You'll work with C-level executives and manage partnerships across various media platforms. This role requires 15 years of experience in business development and a strong understanding of the sports industry.

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 15 years of experience in business development, partnerships, sports, media, management consulting, or investment banking. Your background includes working with C-level executives and collaborating cross-functionally across all levels of management. You have experience managing agreements or partnerships, showcasing your ability to navigate complex business landscapes.

You possess strong leadership skills, having managed people or teams for at least 3 years. Your expertise extends to evaluating and licensing content across the sports and live event spectrum, including live rights, highlights, and library content across various platforms. You are adept at learning technical and product concepts, which allows you to thrive in fluid, collaborative, and ambiguous environments.

Your communication skills are exceptional, enabling you to facilitate discussions, structure agreements, and interpret legal documents effectively. You understand the importance of legal requirements in signing and managing agreements, ensuring compliance and smooth operations.

Desirable

An MBA degree or JD is preferred, as it complements your extensive experience in the field. Your ability to grow in dynamic environments and your understanding of industry trends and market insights make you a valuable asset to any team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the development of strategic partnerships within the sports and live events sector. You will communicate and collaborate with various constituents, including product, finance, marketing, and legal teams, as well as external partners. Your insights into industry trends will help adjust strategies to meet changing circumstances and maintain strong industry relationships.

You will be responsible for managing agreements and partnerships, ensuring that all parties are aligned and that agreements are structured to benefit both Google and its partners. Your role will involve evaluating potential partnerships and negotiating terms that align with Google's strategic goals.

What we offer

Google offers a competitive salary range for this full-time position, with a base salary between $218,000 and $306,000, plus bonuses and equity.
