Who you are

You are a highly experienced and strategic Tax Director with a strong understanding of domestic and international income tax compliance. With at least 5 years of experience in tax roles, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a proven track record of scaling tax processes to support business growth. You possess a deep knowledge of ASC 740 tax accounting and are adept at navigating the complexities of technology and marketplace tax regulations. Your leadership skills enable you to effectively oversee a team and coordinate with external advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting across jurisdictions.

You are detail-oriented and analytical, with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations. You have experience leading quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provision processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws. Your strong communication skills allow you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present tax strategies to senior management. You are committed to continuous learning and staying updated on evolving tax regulations that impact the business.

Desirable

Experience in a technology or marketplace environment is highly desirable, as is familiarity with tax software and tools that enhance efficiency in tax reporting and compliance. A background in finance or accounting is a plus, as it complements your tax expertise and enhances your ability to contribute to the overall financial strategy of the organization.

What you'll do

As the Tax Director at Angi, you will lead the direct tax and tax provision functions, overseeing all aspects of domestic and international income tax compliance. You will be responsible for managing the ASC 740 income tax provision processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant tax laws. Your role will involve coordinating with external advisors to facilitate timely tax reporting and compliance across various jurisdictions.

You will work closely with the Head of Tax to develop and implement tax strategies that align with the company's business objectives. This includes identifying opportunities for tax savings and ensuring that the company is well-positioned to adapt to changing tax regulations. You will also oversee a Tax Senior Analyst, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

In addition to compliance, you will play a key role in tax planning and strategy, working with other departments to assess the tax implications of business decisions. You will be involved in preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring that all filings are completed accurately and on time. Your analytical skills will be essential in conducting tax research and providing insights on tax-related issues that may arise.
