Overview

Accurx is seeking a Community Lead to build and scale a strategic community ecosystem within the NHS. You'll focus on enhancing communication among healthcare professionals and patients. This role requires strong community management skills and a passion for improving healthcare communication.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record in community management, ideally within healthcare or a related field — your experience has equipped you with the skills to engage diverse stakeholders and foster meaningful connections. You understand the unique challenges faced by healthcare systems and are passionate about improving communication among all parties involved in patient care.

You possess excellent communication skills — you can articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively, ensuring that all community members feel heard and valued. Your ability to turn insights from community interactions into actionable initiatives is a key strength.

You are strategic and forward-thinking — you can design and implement sustainable community structures that enhance collaboration and learning within the NHS. Your vision aligns with the goal of making healthcare genuinely better for everyone involved.

You thrive in dynamic environments and are comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously — your organizational skills enable you to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining a focus on long-term community goals.

You are empathetic and patient-focused — you understand the importance of user experience and are dedicated to ensuring that community members feel supported and empowered in their roles.

Desirable

Experience in healthcare communication or community engagement is a plus — familiarity with NHS structures and processes will help you navigate the complexities of the healthcare landscape more effectively.

What you'll do

As a Community Lead at Accurx, you will be at the forefront of shaping how users connect and advocate for better communication across the NHS. Your role will involve building a strategic and scalable community ecosystem that supports both primary and secondary care communities. You will design and deliver a long-term vision that ensures these communities are structured, sustainable, and integral to how the NHS learns and collaborates.

You will turn unstructured clinical conversations into meaningful impact by creating repeatable, insight-led processes that drive safer, faster, and more connected patient care. Your ability to facilitate discussions and gather insights will be crucial in developing content, programs, and initiatives that resonate with community members.

You will support and scale one of the most engaged clinical communities in the UK, ensuring that users feel supported day-to-day. This will involve managing community channels, facilitating conversations, and providing resources that empower members to share their experiences and insights.

You will collaborate closely with internal teams to align community initiatives with broader organizational goals, ensuring that the community's voice is represented in decision-making processes. Your insights will help shape product development and enhance user experience.

You will also be responsible for measuring the impact of community initiatives, using data to inform your strategies and demonstrate the value of community engagement to stakeholders.

What we offer

At Accurx, you will be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to improving healthcare communication. We offer a supportive work environment where your contributions will have a direct impact on millions of lives. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team and engage with a diverse community of healthcare professionals.

We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — your passion for community engagement and improving healthcare communication is what matters most. Join us in making a difference in the NHS and beyond.
