Overview

Crusoe is seeking a Director of Procurement to build and execute sourcing strategies for corporate functions. You'll drive negotiations and supplier performance management in San Francisco. This role requires strategic and analytical skills in procurement.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in procurement with at least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management. Your analytical mindset allows you to assess market trends and develop effective procurement strategies that align with corporate goals. You excel in building relationships with stakeholders and have a proven track record of leading complex negotiations that deliver value to the organization. Your passion for continuous improvement drives you to seek innovative solutions that enhance procurement processes and supplier performance.

You understand the importance of corporate services and have experience managing procurement for various categories, including financial, legal, and human resources. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams ensures alignment and collaboration in achieving procurement objectives. You are detail-oriented and possess strong project management skills, allowing you to oversee the end-to-end procurement lifecycle efficiently.

Desirable

Experience in a fast-growing technology company is a plus, as is familiarity with sustainable procurement practices. You are comfortable working in a dynamic environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on strategic goals. A background in contract negotiation and supplier performance management will set you apart as a candidate.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the procurement strategy for corporate functions, ensuring that the organization has the right supplier relationships to support its ambitious growth. You will be responsible for conducting market analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities. Your expertise in executive negotiations will be crucial as you lead discussions for Master Purchase Agreements (MPAs) and Master Service Agreements (MSAs), securing favorable terms that align with the company's objectives.

You will collaborate closely with corporate leaders to understand their needs and develop sourcing strategies that deliver value while mitigating risks. Your role will involve managing the entire procurement lifecycle, from strategy development to contract negotiation and ongoing supplier performance management. You will also implement processes for evaluating supplier performance and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

As a key business partner, you will provide insights and recommendations to senior management on procurement strategies and supplier relationships. Your analytical skills will help you track procurement metrics and identify opportunities for improvement. You will foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the procurement team, encouraging innovative thinking and problem-solving.
