Who you are

You have 3-5 years of experience working as an equities trader, demonstrating a deep understanding of equities trading and the structure of major Asian equity markets. Your fluency with trading technology, execution management systems, and order management systems sets you apart, allowing you to navigate complex trading environments effectively. You possess strong analytical skills and are detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in trade capture and reconciliation. Your clear and articulate verbal and written communication skills enable you to liaise effectively with various stakeholders, including trading assistants, Operations, Compliance, and Risk teams. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are proactive in resolving issues that may arise during trading operations.

Desirable

A background in finance, math, engineering, or a related field is advantageous, as it complements your trading expertise. Familiarity with broker-sponsored algorithms, broker cash desks, dark pools, and DMA facilities will enhance your ability to execute trades efficiently. You are eager to build and maintain strong broker relationships, which are crucial for successful trading operations.

What you'll do

In this role, you will execute trades for Asia-based portfolio managers through various channels, including broker-sponsored algorithms and dark pools. You will monitor price movements, volume, and trading flows for stocks in the portfolios, ensuring that trades are executed with precision and timeliness. Maintaining strong broker relationships is essential, as you will collaborate closely with brokers to optimize trade execution. You will book trades and monitor portfolios for accuracy, ensuring timely and precise trade capture and reconciliation. Additionally, you will liaise with trading assistants, Operations, Compliance, and Risk teams to resolve any issues that arise, escalating proactively when necessary. Your role will involve continuous learning and adaptation to the evolving landscape of Asian markets, allowing you to provide best execution for our long/short investment teams globally.
