Acumen is seeking a Communications Senior Associate to amplify the founder's voice across platforms. You'll work closely with the marketing and communications team in New York City. This role requires strong communication skills and a passion for impactful storytelling.
You have a strong background in communications and marketing, with experience in amplifying voices across various platforms. Your passion for storytelling drives you to connect with audiences meaningfully, and you thrive in collaborative environments. You understand the importance of brand voice and are skilled at crafting messages that resonate with diverse audiences. You are comfortable working closely with senior leadership, including founders and CEOs, to ensure their vision is effectively communicated. You have a keen eye for detail and are adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all communications align with the organization's mission and values.
Experience in the nonprofit sector or with organizations focused on social impact is a plus. Familiarity with digital marketing tools and social media platforms will enhance your ability to engage audiences effectively. A background in content creation, including writing and editing, will be beneficial in this role.

You will be responsible for creating compelling content for various platforms, including social media, newsletters, and press releases. Collaborating with the marketing team, you will help shape the brand's narrative and ensure consistency across all communications. You will engage with stakeholders and audiences to foster connections and drive awareness of Acumen's mission and impact. Your role will also involve monitoring media coverage and public perception, providing insights to guide future communications efforts. You will participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for campaigns and initiatives that align with the organization's goals.
