Google is seeking a Cloud Technical Solutions Engineer to troubleshoot and advocate for customer needs in cloud computing. You'll work with technologies like Linux, Python, and Java while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role requires 5+ years of experience in technical support and cloud solutions.
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience. With 5 years of experience in troubleshooting and advocating for customer needs, you excel at triaging technical issues across hardware, software, applications, and processes. You possess 2 years of experience with computer networking and web technologies, including HTTP, HTML, and DNS. Your background in system administration with Linux/Unix is strong, and you are proficient in one or more core programming or scripting languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash/Shell, Perl, or Visual Basic. You are familiar with Cloud Accelerators troubleshooting, including GPU and TPU, and have experience with cloud computing through certifications, internships, or coursework. Your understanding of distributed systems and solutions like system virtualization or hybrid cloud computing is well-developed, and you are knowledgeable about common solutions, design patterns, or best practices.
Experience with cloud computing certifications or coursework is a plus, as is familiarity with troubleshooting Cloud Accelerators. You have a keen interest in improving product offerings and resolving technical deployment obstacles, acting as a consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders in Engineering, Sales, and customer organizations.
In this role, you will play a key part in helping customers transform and build what's next for their business using Google Cloud technologies. You will work closely with multiple Product and Engineering teams to find ways to improve the product and understand customer issues, advocating for their needs with cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing technical issues, providing solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with internal teams to enhance the Google Cloud experience and contribute to the development of tools for faster diagnosis. Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest cloud technologies and best practices, ensuring that you can provide the best support possible to customers.
