Optiver is seeking a Data Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability and operational excellence of their data platforms. You'll focus on automation, change management, and incident response. This role requires experience in data deployment processes and a strong understanding of data engineering principles.
You have a strong background in data engineering and site reliability, with a focus on ensuring the reliability and scalability of data platforms. You understand the importance of automation in deployment processes and have experience managing incidents effectively. Your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams enables you to deliver high-quality, reliable data at scale. You are detail-oriented and have a proactive approach to change management, ensuring that data deployments are secure and well-managed. Experience in trading environments or commodities is a plus, but not mandatory. You are passionate about leveraging AI to enhance trading outcomes and are eager to contribute to a team that values innovation and operational excellence.
In this role, you will take ownership of data change and release management, overseeing daily, backfill, and ad-hoc data deployments. You will implement strong security measures and ensure environment segregation during these processes. Your responsibilities will include managing job orchestration and incident management, enabling teams to deliver reliable data efficiently. You will collaborate closely with data engineers and other stakeholders to optimize data workflows and improve system reliability. Additionally, you will be involved in automating processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Your role will also require you to monitor system performance and respond to incidents promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to data services. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of data platforms and help establish best practices for data management within the organization.
