SoC Physical Design Engineer, Electrical Analysis

Who you are

You have a minimum of a BS degree and over 10 years of relevant industry experience, showcasing your expertise in low-power circuit design and electrical analysis. Your background includes a deep understanding of SPICE, which you have utilized in various projects to ensure the integrity and performance of SoC designs. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with CAD, library, circuit technology, and system teams to evaluate tech flows and validate designs. Your experience in managing schedules and supporting cross-functional engineering efforts has equipped you with the skills necessary to drive successful product development.

Desirable

Experience with electrical analysis techniques such as Gridcheck, ESD, Static/Dynamic IR, EM, Noise, and Signal EM is highly desirable. You are familiar with the entire chip design cycle and have a proven track record of driving EMIR test planning and analysis support. Your ability to communicate effectively with various teams enhances your capability to contribute to the success of complex projects.

What you'll do

As a Senior Electrical Engineer on Apple's SoC team, you will be responsible for driving the electrical analysis and verification of SoC designs. You will perform various electrical analyses at both the block and chip levels, ensuring that all designs meet the required specifications. Your role will involve collaborating with the implementation team throughout the entire chip design cycle, providing analysis support, and ensuring sign-off closure for tape-out. You will manage schedules and coordinate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the successful development of Apple's innovative products.

You will also engage in tech and flow evaluations, bringing your insights to the table during the design process. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and performance of Apple's SoC products, reinforcing the company's commitment to excellence in hardware design. You will be expected to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the design processes and methodologies used within the team.
