42dot is seeking an IVI System Engineer (Hypervisor) to develop system software for Android Automotive in the Software Defined Vehicle domain. You'll work on device drivers, HAL, bootloader, and hypervisor development, requiring experience in embedded systems and Android OS.
You have experience in embedded systems development, particularly with Android Automotive OS and Linux. Your background includes developing device drivers and working with Hardware Abstraction Layers (HAL), ensuring that software operates reliably in automotive environments. You are proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python, which are essential for system-level development. You possess strong problem-solving skills, allowing you to analyze and resolve system-level issues effectively. Your communication skills enable you to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, ensuring that all aspects of the project align with the overall goals. You have a keen interest in system performance and stability, driving you to optimize software solutions continuously.
A broad understanding of the Android platform and automotive systems is preferred, along with experience in integrating IVI systems with vehicle control units (ECUs). Familiarity with the production and validation phases of Android-based products will be beneficial, as will any experience in system stabilization and performance tuning.
In this role, you will lead the development of Android Automotive device drivers, ensuring they meet the necessary performance and reliability standards. You will also be responsible for developing and integrating Android HAL, contributing to the overall functionality of the IVI system. Your work will involve creating a Yocto-based hypervisor system, which is crucial for virtualization in automotive applications. You will engage in bootloader and kernel development, focusing on enhancing system performance and stability. Your responsibilities will include reproducing and analyzing performance and stability issues, leading to effective solutions and validations. You will work closely with quality assurance teams to establish testing frameworks based on industry standards like CTS and VTS, ensuring that the software meets high-quality benchmarks.
