Growth Management- Senior Manager- Paytm Gold

We are seeking a highly strategic and data-driven Head of Platform Strategy & Analytics to lead the technical foundation and growth architecture of the Paytm Gold business. This role is the nexus between engineering, business outcomes, and data science. You will be responsible not only for the security and scale of our core regulated systems but also for defining the analytical capabilities and experimentation framework that drives P&L growth and operational efficiency across the platform.

1. Strategic Platform Ownership: Define the technical and analytical strategy for the gold platform, focusing on maximum business impact, regulatory compliance, and system resilience.

2. Growth & Experimentation Engine: Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for platform features that directly influence key growth metrics (e.g., conversion, retention, frequency). This includes architecting and driving the A/B testing and experimentation framework.

3. Data Architecture Leadership: Translate complex business questions into robust data models and reporting infrastructure. Partner with data engineering to build the analytical pipelines and tools needed for platform monitoring and business intelligence.

4. Technical Specification: Author detailed technical product specifications, architecture design documents, and API contracts, ensuring alignment between engineering deliverables and long-term business strategy.

5. Operational Excellence: Own and enhance core gold systems (pricing, settlement, ledger, reconciliation) with an acute focus on automation, operational leverage, and reducing the cost-to-serve.

6. Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the primary strategic partner to engineering, finance, compliance, legal, and external partners, driving clear alignment on priorities, risk management, and delivery timelines.

7. Execution Oversight: Lead high-quality execution, including technical backlog prioritization, sprint planning, defining release criteria, and systematic reduction of technical debt.

8. Compliance & Risk Governance: Ensure all platform features and backend systems maintain rigorous regulatory, audit, and financial risk compliance, providing comprehensive documentation and controls.

9. Mentorship & Team Development: (Implied Seniority) Mentor junior team members on technical rigor, data-driven decision-making, and stakeholder management.

- Senior Experience (6–10 Years): A minimum of 6 years of experience in data driven growth roles or platform strategy roles, with significant time spent in a high-growth, regulated environment.

- Data & Analytics Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction and analysis. Proven experience with analytics tools (e.g., Python/R for analysis, Tableau/Looker for visualization) and a strong understanding of statistical methods for A/B testing and predictive modeling.

- Platform Expertise: Strong technical depth in distributed systems, microservices, cloud infrastructure, and financial system design (ledgers, reconciliation, real-time transaction processing).

- Fintech Domain: Direct, demonstrable experience in payments, e-commerce, commodities, or complex financial services is required.

- Strategic Influence: Exceptional ability to drive consensus and communicate complex technical and analytical findings clearly to executive, finance, and engineering audiences.

- Leadership Mindset: A track record of setting ambitious, data-backed goals, holding a high standard for execution, and driving tangible P&L impact.

- Measurable Growth: Direct contribution to business P&L via platform optimizations and successful, data-validated experimentation, leading to uplift in key growth metrics.

- Analytical Infrastructure: A stable, reliable, and accessible analytical framework that enables rapid decision-making across the business.
