About the role

As an International Student Advisor at Passage, you will help expand our reach by engaging directly with prospective students across global markets. You will guide students from first inquiry through application, ensuring they understand program options, study pathways, financing opportunities, and visa processes. This role is ideal for someone with experience in international education advising, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for helping students navigate life-changing decisions.

Who we are

Our mission is bold but simple: by 2030, we aim to dismantle the barriers preventing brilliant minds from accessing the opportunities they deserve. Starting with financial barriers, we provide loans to international students and refugees so they can pursue higher education in Canada and unlock a world of possibilities.

Who you are

Mission-driven: You believe in the power of education to transform lives.
Student-centric: You listen deeply, advocate for students, and guide them confidently through complex processes.
Results-oriented: You work toward clear metrics and deliver consistent outcomes.
Industry-savvy: You understand Canadian programs, admissions timelines, visa requirements, and recruitment trends.
Operationally strong: You stay organized, follow through on every lead, and ensure nothing slips between the cracks.

What you will do

Student recruitment and advising

  • Engage with prospective students through calls, messages, events, and webinars

  • Conduct detailed advising sessions on program options, eligibility, pathways, and admissions processes

  • Guide students through application steps, required documents, deadlines, and next-step decisions

  • Maintain a deep understanding of Passage’s programs, financing products, and admissions standards

  • Ensure students understand study permit processes and best practices for visa success

Pipeline and performance management

  • Own and deliver on monthly and weekly recruitment and conversion targets

  • Track every lead and application through Passage’s CRM with accuracy and discipline

  • Identify bottlenecks and proactively move students toward submission and enrollment

  • Analyze conversion data to improve workflows and student guidance

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Partner closely with the admissions team to ensure clean, complete applications

  • Work with marketing on localized campaigns, webinars, and student events

What you bring

  • 2–4 years of experience in international student recruitment, advising, or counseling

  • Strong knowledge of Canadian admissions, program pathways, and visa processes

  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding recruitment or conversion targets

Skills

  • Outstanding communication and student engagement abilities

  • Strong advising, problem-solving, and expectation-setting skills

  • Experience working in CRMs and managing high-volume pipelines

  • Organized, reliable, and detail-focused

  • Ability to work across time zones and cultural contexts

Why join Passage

At Passage, we’re redefining global student mobility by combining financing, admissions, and career success into one seamless experience. You will join a fast-growing, mission-driven team that’s helping students access opportunities that change lives.
