Asana is seeking an SMB Account Executive to manage a diverse portfolio of small and medium business accounts. You'll drive expansion and new acquisition through strategic account management and outbound prospecting. This role requires strong customer engagement skills and experience in a high-growth environment.
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in managing accounts within the SMB segment. Your experience includes driving both expansion and new acquisition, and you thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You are energized by helping customers unlock their potential and are skilled in building lasting partnerships. You understand the importance of strategic account management and are adept at balancing retention, adoption, and new revenue opportunities. You are comfortable segmenting accounts and developing tailored Account Plans for high-propensity prospects. Your ability to run persona-based and vertical-specific outbound motions targeting self-serve and white-space accounts sets you apart. You are proficient in qualifying and closing opportunities generated by marketing and SDR teams, from discovery and solution mapping to negotiating commercial terms and closing deals.
In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of SMB accounts, focusing on increasing product engagement and identifying growth opportunities. You will deliver incremental ARR across your accounts and maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts with a high degree of precision. You will partner with Sales Programs, Marketing, and Customer Success to execute coordinated plays and deliver a best-in-class customer journey. Your responsibilities will include developing tailored strategies for account management, engaging with customers to understand their needs, and ensuring they receive the support necessary to thrive. You will also be responsible for tracking performance metrics and adjusting strategies as needed to meet your goals. Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and drive overall business growth.
