Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in software development and programming languages like C or C++. Your background includes 5 years of experience in testing and launching software products, as well as working with embedded operating systems. You possess strong skills in software design and architecture, with at least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role where you've led project teams and set technical direction. You thrive in a matrixed organization, collaborating on cross-functional projects, and are eager to tackle challenges in developing AI computation software for Google’s data centers.

Desirable

A Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field would be a plus. You have a deep understanding of data structures and algorithms, with 8 years of experience in this area. Your leadership experience includes guiding teams through complex projects, ensuring alignment on goals, outcomes, and timelines.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and guiding systems within the scope of your area, writing product or system development code to solve complex problems. You will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the software development lifecycle. Your work will involve designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions that empower AI innovations for Google and its cloud customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new TPU AI servers, from design and system bring-up to productionization of TPU chips and AI hyper-computers. You will have the opportunity to switch teams and projects as you and the business grow and evolve, making a significant impact on the future of AI at Google.
