GitLab is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to help large organizations adopt and expand their use of GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform. You'll focus on strategic enterprise prospects and customers, guiding them through complex implementations. This role requires strong sales skills and experience in enterprise environments.
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in enterprise environments, where you've successfully navigated complex sales cycles and built strong relationships with key stakeholders. Your experience includes working with large, regulated organizations, and you understand the unique challenges they face in adopting new technologies. You are comfortable discussing technical concepts and can effectively communicate the value of GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform to diverse audiences.
You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management, to ensure customer success. Your ability to listen to customer needs and translate them into actionable strategies is a key strength. You are results-driven and motivated by achieving sales targets while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Experience in the software development or DevSecOps space is a plus, as is familiarity with AI technologies. You are adaptable and open to learning about new tools and methodologies that can enhance your sales approach. A background in account management or customer success can also be beneficial, as it helps you understand the long-term relationship-building aspect of the role.
As a Strategic Account Executive at GitLab, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within large enterprise accounts. You will engage with potential customers to understand their needs and demonstrate how GitLab’s platform can address their challenges. Your role will involve conducting product demonstrations, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts to close deals.
You will work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that resonate with your prospects. Additionally, you will collaborate with the customer success team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients, helping them realize the full value of GitLab’s offerings.
Your success will be measured by your ability to meet or exceed sales quotas, and you will be expected to maintain accurate records of your sales activities in the CRM system. You will also participate in regular sales meetings and contribute to the overall strategy of the sales team.
