You have over 6 years of coding experience in languages such as Scala, Java, Kotlin, or Objective-C/Swift — you've built distributed systems at scale and understand the intricacies of managing complex architectures. Your leadership experience spans at least 4 years, where you've successfully managed engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

You are passionate about building reliable, scalable, and secure systems — you know how to set direction and ensure your team ships fast while owning outcomes. Your technical expertise allows you to guide architecture decisions and unblock delivery, ensuring that your team can focus on what they do best.

Coaching and developing your team is a priority for you — you enjoy mentoring engineers, helping them grow in their careers, and promoting a high-performance culture. You thrive in collaborative environments, working across disciplines to turn product ideas into reality and ensuring that engineering quality, speed, and autonomy are championed.

Desirable

Experience with AI technologies or health-related applications would be a plus, as would familiarity with privacy-first design principles. What you'll do

As an Engineering Manager at Flo Health, you will lead and grow a high-performing team of engineers dedicated to building the next generation of privacy-first, AI-powered health tools. You will set the direction for your team, ensuring that they ship quickly while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.

You will guide architecture decisions and unblock delivery, ensuring that your team has the resources and support they need to succeed. Your role will involve collaborating across disciplines, turning product ideas into reality, and championing engineering quality, speed, and autonomy.

In addition to technical leadership, you will be responsible for coaching your team — hiring, developing, and promoting talent within your squad. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging your engineers to innovate and push the boundaries of what is possible in digital health.
