Sr Backend Engineer, LATAM - Core (100% Remote)

Who you are

You have a strong background in backend engineering, particularly with Scala, and are eager to dive into complex codebases while maintaining a focus on delivering results quickly. Your experience includes designing and building APIs and full-stack solutions, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers. You are comfortable operating autonomously while also valuing high alignment with your team. What you'll do

In this role, you will design, build, and operate API and full-stack solutions that enhance the Hopper travel portal. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to bring new features to market and provide exceptional support for partners. Your day-to-day will involve exploring engineering improvements and ensuring that your contributions align with the overall product vision. You will have the autonomy to operate independently while maintaining close communication with your team to ensure alignment on goals and outcomes.

You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for technical enhancements and implementing solutions that drive efficiency and quality. Your role will require you to engage in asynchronous decision-making processes, emphasizing strong alignment within the team.
